Mulesoft is a widely used Integrated Platform that combines SaaS and Enterprise applications in the Cloud. For resulting the unified Integration experience “Mule ESB” (Enterprise Service Bus) and “Cloud Hub” is great for quick and Safe on-Premises and Cloud Integration. Mulesoft company platform, called Anypoint Platform, combines various tools to manage, test and develop the application programming interfaces (APIs).
Some features of Mulesoft include:
- Anypoint Design Center provides tools to build connectors and implement data and application flows, including the Anypoint Studio desktop IDE.

Here’s a comparison on Snaplogic and Mulesoft:
Parameter | Mulesoft | Snaplogic |
Focus | ESB and Application Integration | Application and data Integration |
Entry level pricing | Not quoted | $48k |
Main Advantages | Provides a wide range of popular connectors like Salesforce, Netsuite, sftp and many more. A user can easily integrate with those services using a specific connector. Support API development using RAML and design tool. The platform is very good in data type classification. Cloud deployment and post-deployment monitoring is easy. A user can configure the application workers as per need. Alert and notifications are real-time. | Their customer service response time is brilliant.SFTP tasks do a great job in reading the file directly from the server, instead of having to download it and then read it. Tasks expose the ability to run them using external job schedulers. Once you have a server up, setting up SnapLogic service does not take long. They have good documentation and customer support too. |
Cons | Mulesoft has tons of capabilities however where I see it’s lacking is usability, it’s tough to set-up Anypoint Studio on local machines. Though flow designer is an alternate to that, however, it has very limited capabilities and it’s extremely tough to build integrations there for business users. Very expensive and no pay as you go, model. | The installation process is vague, and our customers have issues with using Java for security reasons. If they had an install package that could fix that it would be less of an issue. They could make it more convenient to use on the web browser, if I was working on a customer in the Manager I don’t want to have to navigate to keep going back to that. |
Conclusion:
Snaplogic in an integration platform allowing companies to connect a huge number of applications and data in the cloud and on-premise. Whereas Mulesoft provides an integration platform for connecting any application, data source or API both on cloud and on-premise. Hence based on the factors listed above one can choose the right domain with respect to their industry.
